DeVito, Perlman separating after 30 years

The couple produced three children and many films.

Is marriage no longer sacred?!

Danny DeVito and wife Rhea Perlman announced they are separating today after 30 years of marriage and three (presumably short) adult children. The couple worked together on "Taxi" from 1978-'82, before marrying in '82. Perlman is best known as acerbic waitress Carla on  "Cheers." (Sidenote: All "Cheers" fans must read GQ's fantastic oral history of the show). DeVito is, of course, currently starring as Frank Reynolds on FX comedy "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" (or is he?!). The eighth season of "It's Always Sunny" premieres Oct. 11.

Together, DeVito and Perlman created production company Jersey Films, producing such films as "Pulp Fiction" and "Reality Bites." Accoding to IMBD, the company is at work again after not releasing a film since 2007's "Reno 911: Miami."
