Wizard Philly 2016: Seth Rollins

Former WWE Champ Seth Rollins seeks to reclaim his title

SETH Rollins, who has traveled the globe and is one of the most popular professional wrestlers on Earth, says he has a special kind of admiration for Philadelphia-and not just because of Pat's and Geno's.

"The fans in Philly are just so intense," Rollins said in a recent phone interview. "Wrestling fans are usually pretty passionate, but Philly is one of the cities that takes that to a different level."

That's high praise coming from an athlete who won the WWE World Heavyweight title from the legendary Brock Lesnar and whose boastful nature would do Muhammad Ali proud.

Rollins says he will be active during the weekend.

"I'll be participating in a panel, available for photos and signing autographs for fans," he said. "It is something I'm looking forward to."

Rollins has had a long career with a lot of different organizations, titles and matches-but said he's most proud of one constant in his career.

"I am determined and never give up. Ever," he said. "I always do my best."

With all his accomplishments, Rollins said the highlight of his career is easy.

"All my life I wanted to be WWE champion, so when I won that, that was great."

Having won the championship on March 30, 2015, during a wild Wrestlemania 31, Rollins was forced to vacate the title after tearing the ACL, MCL and medial meniscus in his knee last November.

Rollins said reclaiming that which he feels is rightfully his-and which he never lost in the ring-is motivating him to "redesign and rebuild himself."

"Ever since I was 3 years old, I wanted to be WWE champion," he said. "I got that belt during WrestleMania 31 and I want it back. It's what drives me."
