The series kicks off its 29th season with a film following the post-release lives of two men originally sentenced to life under California's since-reformed "three strikes" law.

* WAYWARD PINES. 9 p.m. Wednesday, Fox29.

The M. Night Shyamalan-produced series returns for a second season, with the arrival of a doctor (Jason Patric) amid a rebellion against the town's "first generation," who are now in charge.
