At his madcap dash up the East Coast today, Stevie Wonder will announce a 20-city North American tour, which will stop at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

The tour is a second huge extension (after a set of added dates in March) of the wildly successful Songs in the Key of Life tour, which came through town on Nov. 17. In the tour, Wonder recreates the iconic 1976 double album with a huge band of up to 40 musicians. At the time, Inquirer music critic Dan DeLuca called it "a rare, wondrous example of the kind of magic that can happen onstage when an extravagantly big band of exemplary musicians sinks its teeth into an opus of Key of Life's magnitude in support of a creator still at the height of his performing powers."

Produced by Wonder Productions and Live Nation and promoted by Live Nation, the tour also visits Washington, D.C., Toronto, Chicago, and Detroit. It winds up where it began last November, at Madison Square Garden Nov. 24.

Pre-sale tickets are available for Citi cardmembers beginning noon TuesdayCiti's Private Pass® Program in select cities. Details at www.citiprivatepass.com. General tickets are available starting at 10 a.m. Friday at 800-298-4200 or ComcastTIX.com.
