COUNTRY STAR Kenny Chesney will play a free concert June 20 on the beach in Wildwood, sources say.

We're told an announcement is expected Thursday morning. A Wildwood spokesman did not return our request for comment Wednesday.

Chesney, who was briefly married to actress Renee Zellweger before she divorced him, accusing him of "fraud," plays a paid, ticketed concert with Tim McGraw on June 16 at Lincoln Financial Field. His new album is to be released June 19.

We hear that American Express has something to do with the free concert and that it will also be streamed online.

Kevin Smith speaks, screens

Filmmaker Kevin Smith ("Clerks," "Chasing Amy," "Jersey Girl") hosts a screening of "Bindlestiffs" at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Ritz East (125 Sansom) and will take questions after the film. It's the first movie by his new production company, Smodcast. Tickets, available at smodcast.com/kevinsmithpresents, are $50-$100 and include a DVD, a poster and a T-shirt with certain packages. Smodcast says the film is a comedy in which "three underage, virgin, prep-school misfits, suspended on a bogus graffiti charge, flee to the inner city in an attempt to live the plot of The Catcher in the Rye — a book they have neither read, much less understand." No more ‘Love' for Leo

So much for recent Drexel grad Leo Borriello on NBC's "Love in the Wild."

He was one of the first castoffs on the dating/adventure reality series that premiered Tuesday night. We asked Boriello, a marketing and legal studies major, last month whether he had done anything on the show that would upset his new bosses at JP Morgan Chase in Wilmington, and he said he didn't think so. But he upset Tara, the woman he was paired with, enough that she sent him packing right away. Manayunk's Jenny Blatt is still holding strong on the series on which we hear another local is among several more surprise women who join the show next Tuesday.
