When Han is gone, O’Hearn will return

A familiar face will soon be seen on "Action News" when anchor/consumer reporter Nydia Han is off on maternity leave.

Erin O'Hearn, who has been off-air from 6ABC for more than a year, will be anchoring Sundays from 6 to 8 a.m., from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and from noon to 1 p.m., as soon as Han goes out. Han is expecting her first child with husband Dennis Reilly, an anesthesiologist, in early May.

O'Hearn, we're told, will also air special reports for the station.

She's been busy with two children of her own, with developer husband Sal Paone Jr. which is why she has been off-air, but we hear she is excited to return.

"We are thrilled to have her back with the 6ABC family," station spokeswoman Caroline Welch said yesterday.

Real Specter performs with imposter

Arlen Specter has long been the focus of impressions performed by funnyman Joe Conklin, but on April 28 the former U.S. senator joins Conklin and 94WIP's Big Daddy Graham in their Two Funny Philly Guys show at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville. Out and about

Pat Benatar and husband/bandmate Neil Giraldo dined Tuesday at Smith & Wollensky at the Rittenhouse. The couple performed Wednesday at Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood.

MTV's "Made" shot over the weekend at Scannicchio's (Broad & Porter). The show was following recent Temple grad Dana Randolph, who wants to be a broadcaster. The episode is expected to air toward the end of May.

Phillies show Inky writer love

Of all the congratulations and accolades pouring in to the Inquirer team that just won a Pulitzer Prize, none caused reporter Kristen A. Graham to flip out like a tweet and a phone call from Shane Victorino. Inquirer reporter Mike Vitez reached out to Phillies staff, who arranged the surprise phone call from the Flyin' Hawaiian himself.

Graham, a huge Phillies fan, was thrilled enough when Victorino congratulated her on Twitter Tuesday morning, but when he called her cell that afternoon, Graham says, she "didn't believe it was really him. I kept saying, 'No, who is it, really?' Too cool."

Wednesday, Graham also received a Phanatic fuzzy hat from the Phillies and a signed Carlos Ruiz baseball.

Graham and four other reporters, Susan Snyder, Dylan Purcell, Jeff Gammage and John Sullivan (who is no longer with the paper), authored a seven-part Inquirer series called "Assault on Learning" about violence in Philadelphia public schools.

Rodney King books into town

Rodney King will be in town next week promoting his new book, The Riot Within. King, who rose to unwanted fame in 1991, when he was mercilessly pounded by four LAPD officers, will speak at 6 p.m. April 26 at the African American Museum of Philadelphia (7th & Arch) along with his fiancee, Cynthia Kelley, a juror in his civil suit against the city of Los Angeles.
