Tattle: 'US' has the dirt on the Kim-Kris

US WEEKLY KNOWS where its bread is buttered, so it has come out firmly for Team Kim in the tabloid-loving Kim Kardashian-Kris Humphries divorce.

Even though Kim has looked like a shallow twit during her over-accessorized, extravagant TV wedding and too-brief marriage, Us quotes Kim K pals as saying Kris is the bad guy.

"He belittled her in front of people," one insider said. "He'd call her stupid. It was truly sickening."

Us's inside source says Kris resented Kim's faux fame and fortune - neither of which should have been a surprise to him when their multimillion-dollar wedding was filmed for TV.

Kris also allegedly called Kim "fat ass."

Tattle does acknowledge he could have meant it as a compliment.

"He tried to control Kim by bringing her down . . . He would say truly terrible things," said the source. "One time, he said she had no talent and her fame wouldn't last."

"Truly terrible," it's the new "honest."

Uh, she has no talent.

And her fame is questionable. If three million Americans think you're terrific, 10 million think you're a fool and the remaining 300 million can't figure out why the first 13 million even think about you, is that really fame?

Isn't Kim, like Snooki or any one of those ridiculous housewives, merely the 21st-century equivalent of the bearded lady at the circus?

The only way the Black Eyed Peas could counter rumors that they were breaking up was to deny they were breaking up. But the denial only convinced people that the group was breaking up.

The vicious cycle of rumordom.

"We are not breaking up," Taboo told Reuters Monday at a launch party for the band's new video dance game, "The Black Eyed Peas Experience."

"We're going to take a little vacation and focus on our personal things," added Apl.de.ap.

The Peas will play their final prebreak concert in Miami tonight with a host of guest stars.

As Michelle Bachmann strode

onstage at Jimmy Fallon's "Late Night" Tuesday, the show's house band, The Roots, played a snippet of a 1985 Fishbone song called "Lyin' Ass B----."

The song begins with a distinctive "la la la la la la la la la" refrain - the only words audible before Bachmann, smiling and waving to the audience, sat down.

The song itself, about a relationship gone wrong, isn't political. Among its cleanest lyrics: "She always says she needs you, but you know she really don't care."

Roots' bandleader Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson said the song was a spur-of-the-moment decision.

"The show was not aware of it, and I feel bad if her feelings were hurt," Thompson said. "That was not my intention."

What was your intention?

Bachmann's campaign had no immediate comment, having never heard of Fishbone or the song. But it would have been a riot if Bachmann called The Roots out: "Fishbone, guys? Really? You know who's a 'Lyin' Ass B----'? Mitt Romney, that's who."
