Sean Penn in Cairo

Filmmaker Sean Penn was in Cairo, Egypt, on Friday to lend support to protesters who demand that the military relinquish control and let a civilian government take over the nation. (The military took control after President Hosni Mubarak's ouster in February.)

"The world is inspired by the call for freedom by the courageous revolution of Egypt for its freedom," said Sean. "Clearly that is not a completion overnight; there are still struggles forward."

Electronically minded J.K. Rowling fans are in for a shock: The seven-book Harry Potter cycle won't be out as e-books this month as promised, says the Pottermore (www.pottermore.com/) site. The e-books will go on sale exclusively on the site "in the first half of 2012."
