Dan Gross: Ed, new squeeze brunch at Parc

WE'RE NOT sure if Ed Rendell describes all his friends as "stunning," but he did use the term yesterday about Peruvian-born beauty Lucia Zapatero, with whom he was spotted brunching Saturday at Parc on Rittenhouse Square.

Zapatero, 33, is director of marketing for Knowledge@Wharton, an online business-analysis journal of Penn's Wharton School of Business, and we're told she and Rendell, 67, have recently begun seeing each other.

Reached by phone yesterday, Rendell insisted that the pair were only "good friends."

Rendell's last "good friend," Kirstin Snow, still works for the ex-governor-turned "NBC News" contributor, and spends half the week at his Center City office and half in Harrisburg, he says.

Rendell says he and Snow are "colleagues and friends."

In February we reported with staff writers Chris Brennan and Catherine Lucey that Rendell and his wife of nearly 40 years, federal judge Midge Rendell, had separated.

"NBC News" foreign correspondent Michelle Kosinski and long-distance boyfriend/auto mogul Carlos Hoz de Vina spent a rare night together at Parc Saturday.

The Cinnaminson-raised Kosinski lives in London, Miami and New York; Hoz de Vina splits his time among Moorestown, New York and South America.

The pair have been dating for about a year and sat at Parc on the same side of a table, looking like long-distance lovebirds.

Comedian Wanda Sykes and Ryan Howard were among the crowd at the Linc Saturday night watching Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid play the Union.

Porn starlet Gina Lynn took in Rihanna's show Saturday from a Wells Fargo Center suite along with friends Al Heaton, a wealth planner, and wife Lori. Rihanna and crew feasted on sandwiches from Talk of the Town (3020 S. Broad) afterward.

Clem Caserta, whose credits include "GoodFellas," and "Casino," dined at Il Verdi inside the Tropicana in Atlantic City Saturday night. Caserta runs Jimmy Whispers Acting School, named after his "Bronx Tale" character.

Hustler publisher Larry Flynt had his limo driver stop at John's Roast Pork (Weccacoe & Snyder) yesterday afternoon for cheesesteaks. Flynt speaks at the Free Library tonight about his new book, "One Nation Under Sex: How the Private Lives of Presidents, First Ladies and Their Lovers Changed the Course of American History."

Phillies reliever Michael Stutes and family stopped at Ralph's (760 S. 9th) after Saturday's game, and on Sunday, the crew of umpires working the Phillies/Padres series were in and put away five carafes of wine.

CHARITABLY MINDED

Eagle LeSean McCoy and 107.9 FM's Lady B are to appear tonight at the People In Crisis, Inc. benefit at Benny the Bum's (9991 Bustleton). The benefit raises money for the charity which works to help pay medicals of those with severe medical needs. Tickets are $30 at the door, which includes a buffet, and open bar on beer and wine.
