HORSHAM Keith Valley Middle School's physical education program is becoming like the New England Patriots - only better-liked.

The Patriots are the last team to have won back-to-back Super Bowls, in 2004 and 2005. Now, the Hatboro-Horsham School District middle school, on Meetinghouse Road, can lay claim to two of its teachers consecutively winning the Middle School Physical Education Teacher of the Year Award presented by the Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

The 2013 recipient is Angelo Lafratta, who teaches students in sixth through eighth grades. Lafratta has taught at Keith Valley for nine years.

In 2012, fellow Keith Valley faculty member Eric Shea was the winner.

"To have even been nominated is an incredible event to me," Lafratta said, "and I believe that this award reflects not only my hard work, but also that of my colleagues and the administration that supports our work."

Nominations came from educators at primary, secondary, and college levels, the organization said.
