Conestoga ranked No. 2 school in nation
Two Chester County schools were ranked in the top 50 public high schools in America by BestColleges.com. Conestoga Senior High School was ranked No. 2 of about 21,000 schools nationwide — second only to Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, N.Y. — and No. 1 in Pennsylvania.

Conestoga Senior High School was ranked No. 2 of about 21,000 schools nationwide — second only to Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, N.Y. — and No. 1 in Pennsylvania.
Unionville High School, in Kennett Square, also scored well, placed at No. 13, and Lower Merion High School, in Montgomery County, was No. 28.
The rankings took into account the quality of academics, classes offered, extracurricular activities and athletics, food, school policies, safety, student-teacher ratios, graduation rates, and percent of students who go to college.
Three other Pennsylvania schools made the annual list. North Allegheny Senior High School and Upper St. Clair High School, both in Allegheny County, were Nos. 5 and 41, respectively.
Three in New Jersey made the list, including Hunterdon Central High School, in Flemington.
