The Guest. An homage to 1980s slasher films directed by one of America's most promising genre directors, Adam Wingard, The Guest is a mind-twisting thriller about a special-forces soldier (Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens) who visits the family of a fellow Army man killed in action. Accidental deaths follow. Just creepy coincidence? R

Art and Craft It wasn't money that drove Mark Landis to become one of the most prolific art forgers in American history, but an obsessive need for attention. And over 30 years, he got it, cranking out fakes (from Picasso to Walt Disney) in his tiny bedroom. In guises ranging from philanthropist to Jesuit priest, he donated them as the real deals to museums nationwide. This doc paints a portrait of a man who, if not a criminal, has been a talented, troubled master of dupery. No MPAA rating.

Horns For Daniel Radcliffe, it's a long way from Harry Potter to Horns. Rather than a wand, his character, Ig Perrish, draws magical powers from the rack that sprouts from his head after a night of drinking. The horns cause people to confess their sins, which comes in mighty handy for Ig when he's accused of murdering his girlfriend. R
