Miss Teen USA grows up

Miss Teen USA has eliminated a key part of the pageant: the swimsuit competition. Has the event fallen victim to feminist philosophy? USA Today says the teens will instead compete in an athletic wear competition, whatever that is.

The current Miss Teen USA, Katherine Haik, applauds the decision: "I have been an athlete my entire life. . . . I spend a lot of time in athletic wear."

Yes, me, too!

When celebs divorce!

Seems the third time wasn't the charm for Dennis Quaid. His third wife, Kimberly Buffington, filed for divorce Monday, a week shy of their 12th anniversary. Buffington seeks spousal support and joint legal custody of their 8-year-old twins. Quaid, 62, had also been married to actors P.J. Soles and Meg Ryan.

Meanwhile, E!News says Lisa Marie Presley has filed for divorce from fourth hub, music producer Michael Lockwood, after 10 years. Presley, daughter of the late Elvis, and an ex-wife of the late Michael Jackson, says in her filing she "doesn't want any of [Lockwood's] money." She does seek sole custody of their 7-year-old twins. Other Presley exes are Danny Keoug and Nicolas Cage.

Youth to leave 'Daily Show'

In a divorce of another kind, Jessica Williams, 22, is leaving The Daily Show, Entertainment Weekly reports. Williams had the distinction of being the youngest correspondent at the faux news show when she came aboard four years ago.

It seems Comedy Central loves Williams so much it's creating a show just for her.

Her old boss, Trevor Noah, says, "The sadness I have for Jessica leaving is only eclipsed by the joy I have for her starting her new show."
