Michael dumps Kelly

Michael Strahan - that'd be the Michael in Live with Kelly and Michael - is leaving the show, ABC News says. The former New York Giants defensive end and NFL commentator will join the staff of ABC's Good Morning America as a full-time anchor in September. TMZ says Michael's Live cohost Kelly Ripa was "stunned and upset" when she heard the news.

Denzel on a horse

One of our most versatile actors he may be, but Denzel Washington, 61, has never done a western.

Until now. Director Antoine Fuqua tells USA Today that it took some persuading, but DW is on board for a remake of the 1960 classic The Magnificent Seven. How did Fuqua manage it? He put on a hip-hop version of Ennio Morricone's spaghetti western theme and told DW to picture riding his horse across the plains.

"Denzel just smiled and said, 'All right, let's do it,' " Fuqua says.

Gossip petits fours

Tom Hiddleston shines in AMC's John Le Carré espionage yarn The Night Manager. But it doesn't mean he'll be the next James Bond, he tells USA Today. . . . "What I wish I could eat every day if calories didn't count," Taylor Swift says in Vogue, "chicken tenders." She'd wash them down with her fave drink, vodka-Diet Coke.
