Sideshow: 'Star Wars' big gender swap revealed

Hear ye, hear ye, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have blessed the world with the name of their second child: Saint West. Did the Kardashian-West brain trust mean to give all future celebrity commentators an early Christmas gift? We've never wanted to see a kid misbehave - we're talking normal toddler temper tantrum, not, like, drug bust - so bad. We can barely wait to type "He's no Saint" at the slightest lip quiver. Or what if he trips on a playground? Can't you just see the headlines?: "Fallen Saint." We could keep going, but we'll stop because it's not nice to make fun of a baby who is really blameless in all this.

Saint joins K/W's 2-year-old North West. In November, KK told People mag, "It's like the last thing that Kanye and I did when North was born. We didn't name her for like seven days. I feel like it will just come to us."

Gwendoline Christie, the Amazonian goddess woman better known as Game of Thrones' Brienne of Tarth, made major waves in the force when it was announced that her Captain Phasma in Star Wars: The Force Awakens would be the first lady villain of the beloved franchise.

Turns out the part was meant for a dude. At least that's what cowriter Lawrence Kasdan told Vulture. When a cast picture was released that was heavily male (except for newcomer Daisy Ridley), the Internet made its disgust known. Where were all the women? This was the franchise that brought us one of the great heroines of the 20th century (Princess - now General - Leia!), yet there were not nearly enough XX chromosomes in the pic. So Kasdan and Co. made history with the mysterious Phasma (then again, only a handful of people have actually seen the dang movie, so everyone is mysterious).

Christie was clearly into it. "I could not believe that a Star Wars film was doing something as progressive as this, I really couldn't. And I don't know if you agree with me, but I really do feel like an evolution of sorts is occurring," she said. "Entertainment projects like Game of Thrones, The Hunger Games, and Star Wars have a more diverse range of characters - male and female, but particularly female - and what audiences seem to be saying is, 'We like this, and this is what we want to see. We want to see something more unconventional than all the things we've seen before.' "

Hillary Clinton will be on Late Night with Seth Meyers Dec. 10, continuing the late-night TV hustle that has also included Saturday Night Live, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Appearing alongside Clinton is major girl crush/former Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee, who is promoting her own late- night offering, TBS's Full Frontal. While Clinton's there, she can schedule her appearance on Bee's show, which bows in January.
