North West triumphs

Certain individuals are of such world-historical importance they bear their momentous destiny on their visages virtually from birth.

Such a person is North Kardashian West. The proof: Kimye's daughter, who turned 1 last month, can walk. "Our baby girl finished one week of swimming lessons today then took her 1st steps right when she got out of the pool!!!!" Kim K says in a caption to an Instagram pic of the li'l genius.

Saying 'bye to soap

Alison Sweeney still is not used to the quiet. For the last 21 years, ever since she was 16, the actor spent 16-hour shifts five days a week being Sami Brady on the set of Days of Our Lives. That is, until May, when she filmed her last scenes on the soap. "It feels crazy," Sweeney tells People. "I'm like, 'I think I'll go work out.' It's whatever I want to do right now." Sweeney, who has two kids, Benjamin, 8, and Megan, 5, with husband David Sanov, isn't out of showbiz altogether. She will continue to host The Biggest Loser.

Hercules eats a lot

To prepare for his role as Hercules, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson observed an eating regimen of seven full meals a day, USA Today reports, including several breakfasts. "A stupendous 10-ounce filet of steak along with four egg whites and oatmeal" was followed by a three-pound portion of flesh - chicken, beef, or fish - served with broccoli, asparagus, and a protein shake. Yum.
