Sideshow: Celebs help Philippines relief effort

More celebs stepped up this week to help relief efforts in storm-ravaged Philippines, with Rihanna donating $100,000 to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.

The singer, WNBA's Skylar Diggins, MLB star Robinson Canó, and actor Vanessa Hudgens this week helped launch the new UNICEF initiative, There for the Philippines, which provides immediate and long-term help for children affected by Typhoon Haiyan.

The mysterious org behind the Golden Globes has ruled that Scarlett Johansson is ineligible for a best actress award for her part as the voice of a computer named Samantha in Spike Jonze's futuristic romance Her, because she's never on-screen in the flesh.

There's a lot of buzz around Scarlett's performance, which has won her the best actress prize at the Rome Film Festival. But since Academy Awards voters so closely follow the Globes, she may be nixed from the Oscars also.

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore's divorce has been finalized. TMZ says Demi, whose net worth is higher than Ashton's, dropped her initial demand for spousal support. . . . People mag this week has published a cache of never-before-seen photos of Elizabeth Taylor made available by her family. . . . Keith Urban this week tweeted a shocking photo: It shows Nicole Kidman's hub with a new, short, short haircut. Oh, those lovely long locks. Forever gone. . . . James Franco and Seth Rogen's parody of Kanye West's "Bound 2" vid, which stars a nude Kim Kardashian, didn't faze the self-appointed genius. Kanye loves it. "He laughed so hard," Kim tweets. . . . Prada, Chanel, and Christian Dior have created a series of bejeweled haute couture dolls that will go on auction Dec. 2 to raise money for UNICEF's efforts to vaccinate infants in Sudan's Darfur region against polio and diphtheria.

Ashton Kutcher has been more supervigilant than ever in keeping photogs away from his woman, Mila Kunis. TMZ says his actions have sparked rumors he doesn't want it leaked by a photo that she's pregnant. No comment from the celebs.

Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is back at No. 1 on Billboard's album charts in its third week, selling 120,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Slim Shady's LP was knocked down a rung last week by the debut of Lady Gaga's ARTPOP. The Lady this week drops to No. 8.

Ryan Seacrest will host Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve at Times Square on Dec. 31 on ABC. Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas will host the West Coast telecast from L.A.
