Teen wants to help the homeless

Zakiyyah is a 16-year-old with a vision for her future - to help the poor and homeless. She says she wants to spend time talking to the homeless to get their point of view on their lives.

For the present, she keeps busy with a variety of interests. Passionate about music, she loves singing and dancing. She is able to choreograph dances and performs in front of an audience whenever she has the opportunity. She has other talents as well. She is a very gifted artist and is very proud of her creations. In addition, she is an outstanding and imaginative writer.

Zakiyyah attends an arts academy and loves going to school. Math, science, and history are her favorite subjects. Zakiyyah works hard in school and enjoys reading in her spare time. She especially likes the "Twilight" series and is a member of Team Edward.

Therapy is helping Zakiyyah deal with past trauma. She is beginning to learn to trust and needs an adoptive family that is loving, encouraging, and patient. She thrives on one-to-one attention and a small family would be ideal for her.
