IN TRIBUTE to

Steven Rea

's summer movie roundup of reboots, remakes and sequels (see Page 27), the

Hollywood reporter

reported yesterday that present-day "It" girl Alicia Vikander has signed on to star as Lara Croft in a prequel/reboot of Tomb Raider.

It's about time. Virtually every day since 2003's Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, someone emails Tattle about the need for another Tomb Raider movie.

This one will be directed by Roar Uthaug (The Wave) and will tell the story of Lara's first adventure.

Vikander, who won an Oscar for The Danish Girl and starred in Ex Machina, also appeared, alas, in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. This summer she will be seen in The Light Between Oceans and the Matt Damon action pic Jason Bourne.

Patti Davis responds

In other news of movies that no one's clamoring for, the concept of

Will Ferrell

's

Reagan

, which we wrote about yesterday, got ripped by

Ronald Reagan

's daughter,

Patti Davis

.

"Perhaps you have managed to retain some ignorance about Alzheimer's and other versions of dementia. Perhaps if you knew more, you would not find the subject humorous," blogged Davis in an open letter to Ferrell.

"I watched as fear invaded my father's eyes - this man who was never afraid of anything. I heard his voice tremble as he stood in the living room and said, 'I don't know where I am,' " she wrote.

Davis urged Ferrell to first visit an Alzheimer's treatment facility before embarking on the role. "I didn't find anything comedic there, and my hope would be that if you're a decent human being, you wouldn't either," she wrote.

Prince news a downer

Investigators are looking into whether

Prince

died from a drug overdose and whether a doctor was prescribing him drugs in the weeks before he was found dead at his home in suburban Minneapolis, an unnamed law enforcement official told the Associated Press on Thursday.

The official said that among the things investigators are looking at is whether a doctor was on a plane that made an emergency landing in Illinois less than a week before Prince died.

The official said investigators are also looking into what kind of drugs were on plane and at his house in suburban Minneapolis.

The official also confirmed some details that have previously been reported by other media outlets, including TMZ.

Prince's plane made an emergency stop in Moline, Ill., and he was found unconscious on the plane, the official said. The person said first responders gave Prince a shot of Narcan, which is used in suspected opioid overdoses. The official said the shot was given when the plane was on the runway in Moline, as Prince returned to Minneapolis following a performance in Atlanta.

The official said investigators are looking at whether Prince overdosed on the plane and whether an overdose killed him, and what kind of drugs were involved. One possibility is the powerful painkiller Percocet or something similar, the official said.

Narcan can be used on people even if an overdose isn't confirmed because it wouldn't necessarily be harmful.

A second unnamed law enforcement official told the AP that prescription drugs were discovered at Prince's home when the musician was found dead.

Longtime friend and collaborator Sheila E. has told the AP that Prince had physical issues from performing, citing hip and knee problems that she said came from years of jumping off risers and stage speakers in heels.

* TV is sometimes so derivative, it makes us want to (blank).

ABC announced Thursday that Alec Baldwin will take over for the late Gene Rayburn as host of a revival of Match Game, but had no announcement about who will be taking over for Charles Nelson Reilly and Brett Somers. First aired a half-century ago, it's a panel game show that features two contestants who compete to match the answers from six celebrities in filling in a missing blank.

Match Game will round out a full Sunday night of game shows, starting at 8 p.m. Eastern with ultra-busy Steve Harvey returning as host of Celebrity Family Feud and Michael Strahan presiding over The $100,000 Pyramid.

The trio of hourlong shows will premiere on June 26.

* Sales rep Joe Pickens of Philadelphia has been cast as one of the 40 top home chefs competing in the seventh season of Masterchef.

The show premieres June 1 on Fox29.

* According to billboard.com, the final track on California, the new album from Blink-182, dropping July 1, will be "Brohemian Rhapsody," a cover of the Queen classic played entirely by hand farts.

* Comedian and actor Katt Williams was arrested after he threw a salt shaker at a restaurant manager, police in an Atlanta suburb said Thursday.

Officers responded to a call of a fight at Spondivits restaurant just south of Atlanta a little after 10 p.m. Wednesday, East Point police Capt. Cliff Chandler said. The restaurant manager had a bloody cut on his lip, and he and other witnesses told officers it was Williams who injured him, Chandler said.

We've waited a long time to write that someone was arrested for a salt.
