Hip Hop Hooray: Silly feuds involve Kanye, Wiz, BoB and Blac Chyna
Also in Tattle: A bullfighter is out of his gourd, an Italian cover-up, Bruce Springsteen and Madonna
IT WAS a busy day in hip hop yesterday.
Kanye West
and
Wiz Khalifa
got in a Twitter feud, in which both made comments about Philly girl
Amber Rose
and Amber responded with words NSFT (Not Suitable For Tattle).
B.o.B. got in a Twitter argument with astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson about whether the earth was flat.
Yes, flat.
B.o.B. said yes. Tyson said no. We're siding with Tyson.
And in sort of related news, Rob Kardashian is rumored to be dating Blac Chyna who was Tyga's fiance before he started dating Kylie Jenner, and the whole Kardashian/Jenner clan is in a tizzy over Rob's betrayal.
Otherwise, it was rather slow, so Tattle is heading overseas. This is what happens when newspapers close foreign bureaus.
Dear helicopter parents
In Spain, matador
Francisco Rivera Ordóñez
has come under fire, CNN reported, after he posted a photo on Instagram showing him fighting a bull-while holding his baby daughter
Carmen
.
Ordonez said this was Carmen's debut in the ring.
Dude, the only ring that baby should be near is for teething.
"She is the fifth generation which bullfights in our family," his post read, even though Carmen wasn't actually fighting the bull, or perhaps even aware that she was so close to a bull.
"My grandfather was bullfighting like this with my father. My father was bullfighting like this with me, and I have done it with my daughters Cayetana and now with Carmen. #prideintheblood"
Animal rights activists were predictably up in arms, but what about baby rights activists?
Years from now Carmen may see herself suspended by dad like a little pinata and say, "Padre, the only horn I wanted to feel as an infant was on my Fisher-Price truck."
Animal rights activist/comedian Ricky Gervais tweeted: "Mental, dangerous & cruel. With or without a baby."
A local child protection agency in Andalusia is now investigating but Ordóñez told the Guardian that "There is no safer place for her to be than in my arms."
Pro-Ordonez forces agreed with him as did Spain's Bullfighters' Union.
"Where is the problem of teaching our children about a profession that we love and is full of values?" tweeted bullfighter Manuel Díaz El Cordobés.
Sure, Manuel, it's all fun and games until a baby is gored.
And in Italy . . .
Culture Minister
Dario Franceschini
has criticized as "incomprehensible" the decision to cover up naked statues at a Rome museum where Iranian
President Hassan Rouhani
was visiting, adding a new twist to the controversy that has dominated Rouhani's deal-making visit to Italy.
Franceschini told reporters yesterday that neither he nor Premier Matteo Renzi were informed about the decision, which was apparently taken by lower-ranking officials in a bid to avoid offending the visiting leader. The cover-up involved the placement of several wooden panels to shield nude statues at Rome's Capitoline Museums, where Rouhani and Renzi held a joint press conference Monday.
The measures made headlines across Italy and prompted some politicians to accuse the government of caving into "cultural submission."
Rouhani said he didn't request the gesture but appreciated it.
"I know that Italians are a very hospitable people, a people who try to do the most to put their guests at ease and I thank you for this," he told reporters when asked about the cover-up.

*
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
said yesterday their New York City show that was canceled because of Snowpocalypse 2016 will now take place on March 28.
Tickets for the original show will be honored.
* The National Enquirer is reporting that even though Sean Penn has reportedly gotten back together with Madonna, he's cheating on her with another former squeeze, Naomi Campbell.
At least it wasn't El Chapo.
