ABBA reunites to open ABBA-themed dinner theater

Also in Tattle: “Star Wars” postponed, LaLa Anthony and Tori Spelling

The four members of ABBA may not get together for a reunion concert - or even a cup of coffee - but they did get together for a new business venture in Stockholm.

It's kind of a "Mamma Mia!" spin-off - a dining-entertainment venue, based on the Greek taverna featured in the movie.

The BBC reports that venue is the idea of ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus, who was joined opening night by Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, and Agnetha Faltskog.

Fans and guests last night paid the Swedish equivalent of $157 to party with the mega-selling pop stars at the Tyrol restaurant.

On the menu? A Mediterranean-style buffet and a show based on ABBA tunes.

How about a menu in which the dishes sing "Take a Chance on Me."

"Everything happens on a magical evening in several acts filled with singing and dancing, daredevil stunts, Greek Gods, flirty waiters, and perhaps a zorba and an ouzo or two," the Tyrol's website says.

"No evening is like any other and no-one knows how it ends. It all depends on where ABBA's songs take us."

Take a breath, nerds

There is a disturbance in the force.

The release of "Star Wars: Episode VIII" has been delayed from May 2017 to Dec. 15, 2017, the Walt Disney Co. announced yesterday.

Disney offered no reason for the delay, but rumors have recently swirled that writer-director Rian Johnson ("Looper"), who is taking over for J.J. Abrams, is rewriting the script. Production is set to begin next month in London.

In the interim, Gareth Edwards' "Star Wars" spin-off "Rogue One," starring Felicity Jones ("Hysteria," "The Theory of Everything") is due out Dec. 16 this year.

With prominent release dates now staked out by studios years in advance for their largest franchises, the impact of the switch immediately caused ripples.

The new date sets up a potential but unlikely Christmas head-to-head between "Star Wars VIII" and James Cameron's "Avatar 2."

One movie definitely affected is Steven Spielberg's "Ready Player One," a science-fiction release for Warner Bros. It's scheduled for the same Dec. 15 weekend in 2017.

Disney moved one of its other billion-dollar franchises, "Pirates of the Caribbean," to May 26, 2017. The Johnny Depp series returns with "Dead Men Tell No Tales."

At the same time, Sony Pictures moved two of its biggest movies into summer 2017. The next "Spider-Man," starring Tom Holland and directed by Jon Watts, shifted up three weeks to July 28, 2017. Jake Kasdan's "Jumanji" remake shifted from Christmas 2016 to July 28, 2017.

There's a "Jumanji" remake?

TATTBITS

* TV personality and author LaLa Anthony is becoming a Broadway producer. She is joining the producing team of the new American play Eclipsed by Danai Gurira.

The show stars Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o, who's joined by Pascale Armand, Akosua Busia, Zainab Jah and Saycon Sengbloh, all from the original cast of The Public Theater's sold-out Off-Broadway run last fall.

Eclipsed is the story of five extraordinary women brought together by upheaval in their homeland of Liberia. The play, directed by Liesl Tommy, will begin previews on Broadway on Feb. 23 with opening night set for March 6 at the Golden Theatre. For tickets and info, go to EclipsedBroadway.com.

Tori Spelling and Tattle have something in common: We both owe money on our credit cards.

The difference is that while Tattle makes sure to always bring down the principle, Tori is being sued.

According to legal documents obtained by "Entertainment Tonight," Tori is being sued by American Express for close to $38,000. Papers say she hasn't made a payment since June and that payment was returned.

TMZ.com reported yesterday that Tori's mother, Candy Spelling, widow of crazy rich TV producer Aaron Spelling, claims she's already paying many of Tori's bills.

Candy, though, is not paying for any extras, just basic living, expenses.

Goodbe black card. Goodbye blue card. Hello black and blue card.
