Medical Examiner: Bobbi Kristina Brown's death remains a mystery

AFTER MONTHS of speculation about what killed Bobbi Kristina Brown and whether foul play was involved, medical examiners in Atlanta have found no obvious cause of death or significant injuries.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office began its autopsy yesterday on the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown and said that there was no evidence of previously unknown medical conditions. Bobbi Kristina died Sunday in hospice care nearly six months after being found unresponsive in a bathtub inside her suburban Atlanta townhouse.

Authorities say that passage of time will make it more difficult to determine how and why she died.

The agency says that a ruling on the cause of death should take several weeks.

Bobbi Kristina was 22.

* TMZ.com, meanwhile, reports that the fate of the fortune that Bobbi Kristina was set to inherit after the death of her mother will now be determined by her mother.

TMZ says that Bobbi Kristina got 1/10 of Whitney's estate (estimated at more than $20 million) when she turned 21.

She was set to get 1/6 of the remainder of the estate when she turned 25.

Morbidly thinking ahead, Whitney's will said that if her daughter died before age 25, all the money would go to people of Whitney's choosing - mother Cissy and brothers Michael and Gary.

Sheeran snags role

Shaggy pop star Ed Sheeran, who tends to look a bit medieval, has been cast as a sinister church elder in the forthcoming 14th century FX drama, "The Bastard Executioner."

It's a recurring role.

"Bastard" is from Kurt Sutter ("Sons of Anarchy") and the Hollywood Reporter says it's a blood-soaked epic that tells the story of a warrior whose life is changed when a divine messenger asks him to lay down his sword and lead the life of a journeyman executioner."

Stephen Moyer ("True Blood") and Katey Sagal ("Sons of Anarchy") star.

A divine messenger wants an executioner?

Maybe it should be called "Touched by a Badass Angel."
