ESQUIRE MAGAZINE has chosen Mila Kunis as the "Sexiest Woman Alive," eliminating Rihanna's bid for a repeat.

Now that we can get a picture of Mila in the column and "Sexiest" in our philly.com headline, let's move on.

We spend so much time tracking Kardashians that all we knew about the Keystone XL Pipeline was that President Obama had nixed it.

Turns out, not entirely true.

And who do we have to thank for this new knowledge? Daryl Hannah ("Splash," "Kill Bill").

Daryl was released from a Texas jail following her arrest while protesting the pipeline, which is being built to bring crude from Canada to the Gulf Coast.

That's right, it's being built.

The southern part of the pipeline received approval from the administration. It was only the northern part, through the Sandhills of Nebraska, that was rejected.

So pipeline builder TransCanada is creating a new route and we're betting they believe it's going to be approved since they've already started work on the $7 billion oil tube.

It would be pretty crazy, after all, to build the part of the pipeline connecting to the Gulf refineries if it wasn't also connected to the Canadian tar sands.

Unless you were building the world's longest slip 'n' slide.

According to the Tyler Morning Telegraph, Daryl was arrested in Winnsboro, about 100 miles east of Dallas.

TransCanada said in a statement that it's "unfortunate Ms. Hannah and other out-of-state activists have chosen to break the law by illegally trespassing on private property."

However, Daryl was arrested with 78-year-old Eleanor Fairchild after Fairchild, an in-stater, attempted to get Keystone XL construction equipment off what she claims is her land, which TransCanada is trying to take by eminent domain.

Whatever your political views, the Keystone XL pipeline touches on so many hot-button issues - oil prices, dependency on foreign oil, employment, private land use and a whole host of environmental issues - Tattle hopes more celebrities cross its path so we can keep following its progress.

* "Good Morning America" weather anchor Sam Champion will wed his boyfriend, Rubem Robierb, later this year.

Champion tweeted on Friday he's "never been happier" to share a bit of personal news.

As for some "GMA" watchers, this news is bound to Rubem the wrong way.

* Meanwhile on Saturday, Broadway star Audra McDonald ("Private Practice") and Will Swenson tied the knot at their home in Croton-on-Hudson in New York. The bride's wedding dress was designed by Esosa.

McDonald is mother to daughter Zoe Madeline, 11, and Swenson is father to two sons, Bridger, 11, and Sawyer, 8.

* Also on Saturday, Amber Tamblyn ("Joan of Arcadia," "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants") married David Cross ("Mr. Show," "Arrested Development").

She's 29; he's 48.

According to People magazine, Yo La Tengo performed at the wedding and Philly's own Questlove of The Roots was DJ.

* New Zealand's capital

Wellington will rename itself "The Middle of Middle-Earth" when it hosts the world premiere of "The Hobbit" movie trilogy next month.

Middle-Earth is the fictional setting for the movies.

Wellington Mayor Celia Wade-Brown says the city will spend $900,000 on a red-carpet celebration for the Nov. 28 premiere of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" at the downtown Embassy Theatre.

The movie is the first of three prequels to "The Lord of the Rings" movies. It's directed by Wellington resident Peter Jackson and is shot in New Zealand.

The city will also host Hobbit artwork and an artisan festival.

The city says the postal service and local newspaper will be among many agencies to use the unofficial Middle Earth moniker for three weeks.

* Boston man Rob Wilson has

won an online competition to become the first male model in "The Price Is Right" history.

Wilson begins his weeklong stint on Oct. 15.

* The Parents Television Council

is back on the watch and now they're mad at the Oscars for choosing Seth MacFarlane as the next host.

They say his cartoon "Family Guy" is vulgar.

And children watch it.

PTC President Tim Winter asked, "This is the man that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has selected to host next year's Oscars telecast, following in the footsteps of such Hollywood legends as Bob Hope and Johnny Carson?"

Now, Tattle doesn't want to suggest that the PTC is living in the past, but the last time Carson hosted the Oscars was in 1984. Hope's last hosting gig was in 1977.

The PTC similarly squealed when Howard Stern was chosen as a judge for "America's Got Talent," because he was going to bring his radio show vulgarity to prime time.

Didn't happen.

Instead of picking on MacFarlane of "Family Guy" fame, perhaps the PTC should take a listen to his 2011 CD of American popular song standards, "Music Is Better Than Words."

Not only would Hope have been proud. So would Bing Crosby.
