Today many will mark National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims at the Art Museum steps.

Today is National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims.

All over the country, people are gathering to honor those killed and their families.

Here in Philadelphia, the National Homicide Justice Alliance is partnering with the Philadelphia chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America for a gathering on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum at 6 p.m.

So far this year, there have been 222 people killed in Philadelphia. Many of those homicides remain unsolved.

The impact goes beyond shattered families. A whole city is struggling to deal with an epidemic of violence.
