Dan Gross: Wingador's 'charm' returns

GET YOUR HANKIES ready. This one could be a tearjerker. We are proud to report that we were able to reunite Tiffany Heller, described as the "Good- Luck Wingette," with Bill "El Wingador" Simmons for tomorrow's Sportsradio 94WIP Wing Bowl 20 at the Wells Fargo Center.

In 2005, Heller served as a Wingette for Wingador, a five-time champ, but the next year she defected to serve newcomer Joey Chestnut. She helped the pro-eater chomp his way to victory and returned with him the next two years.

Heller, of Bucks County, was sidelined by injury and sat out the past three years. But recently, with our intervention, she reached out to Wingador to see if he would take her back.

"Absolutely," Wingador said, insisting he had no hard feelings and would gladly welcome her back into his entourage.

Wingador has been training intensely, hoping not only to out-eat three-time champ Jonathan "Super" Squibb but also Japanese eating sensation Takeru Kobayashi at tomorrow's event.

We will provide live coverage of the event at PhillyGossip.com via Twitter, where you can and should follow us @PhillyGossip.

We will bring you vital, up-to-the-minute news on the eaters, as well as on the Wingettes, including porn stars Jenna Jameson and Mary Carey, who will appear on behalf of the World Famous Gold Club (1416 Chancellor), where the two will attend an after-party.

Praise from Tabatha

Hairstylist Tabatha Coffey of Bravo's "Tabatha Takes Over" praised Germantown native Jahmal Rhaney's old-school barber shop, 2B Groomed (270 S. 11th), in a USA Today travel story about 10 great places to get a shave and a haircut. "You'll get a great haircut and a shave in a no-fuss, low-key way," Coffey said. The paper also cited the shop's professionalism and hospitality. Coffey's list also praised the Barbershop at Spa Toccare at the Borgata in Atlantic City. "It's about pampering yourself and taking care of yourself, and that's fantastic."
