Roots Picnic set times announced

Set times for the 10th annual Roots Picnic have been announced.

The headliners – The Roots themselves, joined by Mr “Happy,” Pharrell Williams – hit at 9:15 p.m. on Saturday at the Festival Pier. First up is Philly rapper Tunji Ige, at 12:30 p.m. (It’s going to be a long day, but the weather forecast looks good.)
Other times of note: Solange is last on at the South Stage, which previous Picnic goers will recognize at what used to be the main stage. Brit songwriter Michael Kiwanuka plays the (main) North Stage at 2:55 p.m., and monster bassist Thundercat is there at 5:45 p.m.

My list of a dozen Picnic picks to click is here. And my interview with Black Thought and Questlove from the Sunday Inquirer’s Live Life Love is here.
