Review: This is an interesting idea for an unhealthy sandwich that would be worth the grief with better ingredients. Unfortunately, Subway's chicken pieces are flavorless, the pepperoni needs more bite and the "marinara" sauce tastes like something out of a Chef Boy-ar-dee can. Get yourself a Sarcone's roll, DiBruno's pepperoni and provolone, By George marinara and grill a chicken breast, and you could have one delicious meal.

In April, however, if you buy a 6-inch Subway sandwich before 9 a.m., you will receive another 6-inch for free. That price is hard to beat.

Summary: When sandwiching at Subway, stick to the basics.
