Sideshow: Is Kim Kardashian canoodling with an old flame?

Maybe where they would live is just one of the conversations Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries needed to have. Seems that Miami Dolphin Reggie Bush, an old flame, may be a part of the field that needed clearing out. Someone at N.Y.C.'s Bar Masa has confirmed widespread reports that Kardashian met up with Bush two days before she filed for divorce from Humphries. The source told Hollywood Life: "Kim and Reggie ate here, but that's all we can say. We've been told not to speak about it." Well, we won't tell anybody either.

Piers Morgan might be a great host, but even he had to admit Wednesday evening on his CNN show that he couldn't handle double duty on NBC's America's Got Talent. After announcing the news, Morgan later tweeted: "I'm leaving America's Got Talent after 6 wonderful years. Turned out that juggling's harder than it looks, so I'm going to focus on CNN." Followed up with: "It's been a blast." Morgan, 46, has been judging the NBC talent show since 2006, and he was also a judge on the British version of the show with Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell. He began hosting both shows in January after signing on with CNN to replace Larry King in the much-coveted 9 p.m. slot.

Morgan did say he would now have time to host the Oscars on Feb. 26. No word yet on who gets that assignment, but film producer Brian Grazer has stepped in to oversee the 84th Academy Awards in place of Brett Ratner, who left the show this week after making controversial remarks and was followed by host Eddie Murphy. Grazer, who produced the Oscar winner A Beautiful Mind, will supervise the telecast with Don Mischer on ABC, according to a statement by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The production team faces a deadline less than four months away and the immediate task of replacing Murphy. "It's very gratifying to be part of a show that honors excellence in the medium to which I have devoted so much of my career," Grazer said in the statement. "Don is a legend, and I am excited to work with him."

It took Jessica Simpson awhile to confirm what we could all see: She is expecting. Jess says this will not be the end of it - she wants a big family.

"Pregnancy was meant for me - it really was," the fashion star told People. "I can't wait to have more kids. I love being pregnant. I have such an incredible connection with myself and with my body that I've never had before."

Simpson, 31, also says pregnancy has been a spiritual time. "Just knowing that you're creating a life is such a spiritual thing," she says. "Everything is growing, but you're making a life. It's pretty cool."

It might be pretty cool, too, if she would go ahead and hook up with her baby's daddy in the legal sense.

Songbird Mariah Carey, for one, hated at least one part of becoming a mama. She gained a lot of weight, so much that she covered herself with a towel whenever her hubby, Nick Cannon, was around.

"I had a towel on in the tub," says Carey, who gave birth in April. "I'm not lying, I promise you! You think I would let Nick see me looking rancid like that?"

The Grammy winner, who says she has lost a total of 70 pounds after giving birth to twins, was interviewed by Gayle King at a New York media appearance to promote Jenny Craig diet products, for which Carey is now a spokeswoman. We don't know what her total weight gain was, but it was clearly outside what the docs order.

Hugh Jackman has found a surefire way to lose weight without using expensive diet products. It's a two-step process.

"Take up musical theater. Then do a 2-to-21/2-hour one-man show. Trust me, it will go just like that," the Australian song-and-dance man says, snapping his fingers. "I should do an infomercial."

The pounds are melting away for the 43-year-old Tony Award winner as he sings, dances, bumps, and grinds in his new one-man show, Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway.

How many pounds? Plenty. The man famous for playing the X-Man Wolverine says his pants are being taken in every two days.

"When you dance, your body just wants to find its natural weight," says Jackman, who adds that he's normally more lean than muscular. "I'm naturally a lot more Tommy Tune than I am Wolverine."

La Toya Jackson is on the attack against MSNBC, claiming the Conrad Murray documentary airing Thursday and Friday gives "a murderer and convicted felon . . . celebrity status." La Toya fired off a letter to the network in which she complains that her deceased brother Michael cannot defend himself against claims made by Murray, the doctor recently convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Jacko's death by drug overdose. TMZ has reported that some of Murray's comments about MJ are extremely critical. La Toya says she finds it "disgusting to permit this criminal to profit from homicidal acts that left my family without a brother, my niece and nephews without a father, my parents without a son." La Toya wants the network to shelve the show or at least give the family an advance screening.
