Tattle | Report: Lindsay Lohan enters rehab

IT WAS BOUND to happen sooner or later, so better sooner.

Lindsay Lohan has checked herself into rehab.

So says TMZ.com and a statement from Lohan's rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnik.

"I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health," Lindsay's statement read. "I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time."

Us Weekly reported that Lindsay entered L.A.'s posh Wonderland Center at 2:30 p.m. yesterday, arriving in an SUV and clutching a Jamba Juice.

The in-denial, chain-smoking, chain-drinking starlet has been a mess for awhile (her career off track, her lifestyle out of control) and her mom, Dina, revealed last month that Lindsay had joined Alcoholics Anonymous.

Lindsay recently told People that she had been going to the meetings for a year.

"I haven't had a drink in seven days. Or anything," she said, maximizing her denial per column-inch. "I'm not even legal to, so why would I? I don't drink when I go to clubs. I drink with my friends at home, but there's no need to. I feel better not drinking. It's more fun. I have Red Bull."

It was only two weeks ago that Lindsay checked into the hospital for an "emergency appendectomy," which many Web sites doubted because she was released the next day and soon after was seen jogging in a bikini (see Hollywood-grind.com) with no scar.

The site also reports Lohan is now with Joe Francis of "Girls Gone Wild" fame.

Kind of fitting.

Take a step back, Lindsay, and get out of the fast lane. It's eating you alive.

What was once a career with great charm and promise is now too close to becoming another sad, predictable cautionary tale.

Hey, another sex tape

"Celebrity sex tape" may be a misnomer given that Ray J is mostly famous for being Brandy's brother (and maybe Whitney Houston's new beau) and Kim Kardashian (the daughter of O.J. Simpson's late attorney and pal, Robert Kardashian) is mostly famous for being Paris Hilton's friend, but TMZ.com reports there's at least a pseudo-celebrity sex tape making the rounds of Ray and Kim involved in various sexual activities including "water" sports.

And we don't mean swimming.

TMZ spoke with SugarDVD. com, which offered Kim $2 million for exclusive rights to the footage and a chance to be official spokesman for the company.

Kim denies she is trying to hawk the tape. They all do.

Best comment? 'No comment'

Katherine Heigl was not pleased with fellow "Grey's Anatomy" castmate Isaiah Washington, following his revisionist-history comments after Monday's Golden Globe Awards.

"No, I did not call [co-star] T.R. [Knight] a faggot," Washington said of a reported on-set incident in October. "Never happened, never happened."

According to Heigl it happened.

"I'm going to be really honest right now: He needs to just not speak in public. Period," she told "Access Hollywood" at an after-party. "I'm sorry, that did not need to be said. I'm not OK with it."

"I don't think [Washington] means it the way he comes off," Heigl said. "But T.R. is my best friend. . . . I will use every ounce of energy I have to take you down if you hurt his feelings."

Knight also publicly took Washington to task on Tuesday's "Ellen DeGeneres Show."

"He referred to me as a faggot. Everyone heard it," Knight said.

The reopening of this can of gay worms has brought the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) into the picture. The group has requested a meeting with Washington and hopes to set him straight on his use of anti-gay slurs.

* There will be no charges filed against "Goodfellas'" Paul Sorvino, who had a gun when he responded to a confrontation between his daughter Amanda and her ex-boyfriend, Daniel Snee, in a Stowe, Vt., motel room.

(And when we say ex-boyfriend, we mean she broke up with him earlier that night.)

Amanda Sorvino, 36, told a judge in Stroudsburg, Pa., on Tuesday, that she had locked herself in a bathroom and called both police and her father after Snee, 21, of Effort, Pa., pounded on her room door on Jan. 3 and made threats.

"He got in my father's face and said, 'Go ahead, Paul, shoot, I ain't done nothing wrong,' " Amanda testified. The judge granted her request for a protection order against Snee.

Sorvino, a deputy sheriff in Pennsylvania, is entitled to carry a weapon from state to state.

After being arrested, a handcuffed Snee escaped through an open window of a police car and was found hiding in trees behind the motel, the police affidavit said.

The affidavit said he had a blood alcohol level of 0.175, more than double the legal limit for driving in Vermont.

But not above the limit to escape from Vermont police.

* Richard Lugner, the Austrian businessman who annually invites a celeb (Carmen Electra, Pam Anderson, etc.) to be his guest at Vienna's ritzy Opera Ball, has asked Paris Hilton to join him and his wife on Feb. 15.

Paris will travel to the Austrian capital with her parents and three girlfriends, Lugner told the Austria Press Agency.

* Donald Trump received a

star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame Tuesday. He was probably expecting an entire galaxy.

* The Hollywood Reporter says

Gwyneth Paltrow will play opposite Robert Downey Jr. and Terrence Howard in the Marvel movie "Iron Man."

Paltrow will play love interest "Pepper" Potts.
