A repair and resurfacing project on a 12 mile stretch of Roosevelt Boulevard between 9th Street and the Bucks County line is scheduled to begin next week, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said Tuesday.
The project, which officials said would be completed by mid-November, involves the milling and repaving of outside local lanes and the repaving of cross over lanes. The inner lanes of the boulevard, also known as US 1, were resurfaced in 2014.
Lanes closures are planned Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. through 5 a.m. On Friday, PennDot said, it anticipated lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. the following morning. H&K Group Inc. of Skippack is the general contractor for the $7.6 million project, paid for entirely with state funds, PennDot said.
