Aetna signs contract extension with Main Line Health

Main Line, which owns four acute-care hospitals, has performed well in the first six months since splitting from Jefferson. Its net patient revenue was up 8 percent in the six months ended Dec. 31, compared to the same period the year before. The nonprofit's operating income was up 19 percent in the same period.
