The New Jersey Casino Control Commission is scheduled to hold a special meeting Thursday to consider Seminole Hard Rock Entertainment Inc.'s bid for preliminary approval to operate a casino in Atlantic City.
The company, which owns the Hard Rock brand, applied nearly a year ago for a so-called "statement of compliance," which is a preliminary step in becoming licensed to own a casino in New Jersey, according to the Associated Press. It's not clear whether Hard Rock has specific plans.
