Houser has served in the position on an acting basis since Joseph Cheung was named chair of medicine in the fall. Houser will remain professor and chair of physiology, as well as director of Temple's Cardiovascular Research Center.

Campbell Soup Co., Camden, has hired Umang Shah as director, global social media and digital marketing. He had been director, social media strategy, for Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

HFF L.P., Philadelphia, has hired Christopher Munley as managing director in its Philadelphia office to focus on retail investment sales transactions in the mid-Atlantic region. He had been vice president at Marcus & Millichap.

The nonprofit Children's Literacy Initiative, Philadelphia, has hired Joel Zarrow as executive director. Previously, he led the New Jersey Department of Education's efforts as a senior adviser and education consultant to effect an academic turnaround in 220 of the state's lowest-performing schools.

Mike Wronski has been appointed executive director of the Pennsylvania Film Industry Association. He had been director of individual giving at the Chemical Heritage Foundation in Philadelphia.

Parker McCay has hired Sheila M. Mints as counsel in its business and corporate practice groups. She had been an assistant deputy public advocate in the New Jersey Department of the Public Advocate. Denise L. Sanders has been hired as counsel, focusing on health-care regulatory, transactional, operational and medico-legal matters. She, too, had been an assistant deputy public advocate in the New Jersey Department of the Public Advocate.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society hired Ellen Rubesin as its executive director for the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter. Rubesin was formerly the regional Northeast director at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

American Water Works Co. Inc., a publicly held Voorhees water and wastewater utility company, has named Linda G. Sullivan senior vice president and chief financial officer. Sullivan, who has 25 years of progressive leadership roles, had been CFO of Southern California Edison. She succeeds Susan Story, who has been named president and chief executive officer. Story replaces Jeff Sterba, who has retired.

Victory Bank, Limerick, has hired Steen Woodland II as vice president, commercial relationship manager. Woodland II had been vice president, senior commercial lender/relationship management/commercial loan department manager at Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust. Sarah Benson has been promoted to junior credit analyst from banking center representative.

Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller, Philadelphia, has hired Matthew N. Klebanoff and Daniel P. Thiel as litigation associates in the firm's litigation department. Klebanoff was an associate with Cozen O'Connor in Philadelphia. Thiel was an associate with Lowenstein Sandler L.L.P. in Roseland, N.J.

Jeff Bean has been appointed market manager of Citadel's West Chester branch, from manager of the Eagle market. Anthony Williams has been appointed market manager of the Eagle market, from assistant market manager in West Chester.

Carol R. Collier has been hired as senior adviser for watershed management and policy at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. She had been executive director of the Delaware River Basin Commission.

DLA Piper has hired John Coogan Jr. as a partner in the corporate and finance practice in its Philadelphia office. He had been a partner at Duane Morris L.L.P.

Andrew J. DeFalco has been elevated to member in the firm Spector Gadon & Rosen P.C.
