Ulticom says 1Q sales lower than expected

Ulticom Inc., of Mount Laurel, announced Tuesday that its first-quarter sales for 2010 were about $8.4 million, less than the $9 million to $10 million that the firm predicted last month.

Ulticom Inc., of Mount Laurel, announced Tuesday that its first-quarter sales for 2010 were about $8.4 million, less than the $9 million to $10 million that the firm predicted last month.

"Revenues were lower than expected because certain anticipated orders were not received during the first quarter," Shawn Osborne, Ulticom president, said in a statement. "We believe the bulk of these orders will be received in subsequent quarters and that these delays have not affected our near-term revenues."

The telecommunications-software company said that it expects an early June release of its final results for the first quarter, which ended April 30.    - Christopher K. Hepp
