Nutrisystem to market diet program in Japan

Weight management company Nutrisystem Inc., of Horsham, said it agreed with House Foods International to market a diet program called Nutrisystem J Diet in Japan.

The new program will be sold beginning Oct. 1. It will be sold through House Foods Web site and by phone. Currently Nutrisystem programs are only available in the U.S.

The program includes 14 days of prepackaged food and drink delivered to the home along with weight-loss nutrition counseling.

Financial terms were not disclosed. House Foods is a Japanese spice processor and maker of products including curry and stew mixes.
