Penn Virginia companies hike dividends

Radnor energy companies Penn Virginia Resource Partners L.P. and Penn Virginia GP Holdings L.P. today both announced increases in their quarterly dividends.

Radnor energy companies Penn Virginia Resource Partners L.P. and Penn Virginia GP Holdings L.P. today both announced increases in their quarterly dividends.

Penn Virginia Resource, which is the general partner of Penn Virginia Holdings, raised its payout by a penny to 47 cents per unit. It is payable Nov. 14 to investors on Nov. 6 and is the seventh consecutive quarterly increase.

Penn Virgina Holdings boosted its dividend by 2 cents to 38 cents per unit, payable Nov. 19 to unitholders on Nov. 6. The company has raised its payout each quarter since its initial public offering in 2006.

The companies manage coal and natural gas properties.
