Exton firm wins wireless order in Conn.

WPCS International Inc. won a $1.3 million contract to provide an advanced wireless network for the Town of East Lyme, Conn., the company said today.

WPCS International Inc. won a $1.3 million contract to provide an advanced wireless network for the Town of East Lyme, Conn., the company said today.

WPCS, of Exton, said the network would be used throughout the town for public safety purposes.

The project consists of the design and deployment of a five-channel wireless system that focuses on East Lyme's communication requirements for voice communications, wireless video surveillance, and a supervisory control and data acquisition for water safety and sewer operations.

Company shares were trading at $6.50 late this morning on the Nasdaq market, down 4 cents from yesterday's close.
