InfoLogix Inc., Hatboro, said today it acquired DDMS Holdings LLC to gain patents related to radio frequency identification technology that will strengthen its medication tracking and monitoring capabilities. Financial terms were not disclosed.

InfoLogix, founded in 2001, purchased DDMS Holdings, a private company in Ponte Vedra, Fla., to solidify its position in the hospital RFID market, expected to reach $8.8 billion in sales by 2010.

InfoLogix in November acquired publicly-traded New Age Translation Inc., in North Carolina, and with the acquisition became a public company. Also in November, InfoLogix completed a $17 million round of equity financing from private investors.

DDMS' two owners will be consultants to InfoLogix, which provides software, wireless device and infrastructure, connectivity, and other services to more than 1,100 hospitals and clients including Merck & Co., King Pharmaceuticals, Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc., and the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, the company said.
