As snow approaches, American and other airlines offer fee, ticket-change waivers

"We're planning normal operations, but we have a travel waiver in place," said American Airlines spokeswoman Victoria Lupica. American operates 76 percent of flights at Philadelphia International Airport. "If you have a flight booked Tuesday you can make changes."

"It could be 2 inches, it could be more, but everybody is fully prepared," Lupica said. Philadelphia airport has also said it is planning for normal operations.

American's travel alert is for flights Tuesday at Philadelphia International and Baltimore-Washington International airports.

Delta and United airlines have not yet announced travel alerts for flights in Philadelphia. But United said Philadelphia will be added to the list, which currently includes airports between Manchester, N.H. and Newark, N.J., said airline spokesman Luke Punzenberger.

Southwest Airlines has a winter storm advisory on its website for airports, including Philadelphia, for airports between Washington D.C. and Portland, Maine, where passengers can change their tickets, without a charge.

Delta's travel alert is currently for airports between Manchester, N.H., and Newark Liberty International in New Jersey.
