Philadelphia-based Fox Rothschild LLP won a $17.25 million jury verdict in an eminent domain case for a developer who alleged that York County had undervalued a 79-acre tract on which he planned to build 51 luxury homes.
York County had originally offered the developer, Peter Alecxih, $2 million for the tract.
But he obtained appraisals showing that the land, which the county wanted for a park, was worth $16 million to $17 million, and the jury agreed.
