InGrid Inc., Berwyn, said today it has raised $13.5 million in private equity to expand home protection products and services with its new class of all-digital, all-wireless technology.

Armstrong Group and Associated Partners led the financing, the company said. Existing investors CenterPoint Ventures, Novak Biddle Venture Partners, PA Early Stage Partners and ZG Ventures also participated.

InGrid is developing broadband-integrated digital home protection services for the residential and small business security market, principally through major broadband service providers.

Founded in 2004, the company has raised more than $30 million and has 15 U.S. patents. InGrid said its "next generation systems and services" provide better protection than most dealer-installed systems, are almost impossible to defeat and can be "easily and conveniently managed" from a cordless telephone, cell phone or web browser. More than 60 million U.S. homes with broadband Internet access do not have a home security service, the firm said.
