The latest: Status of Philadelphia flights to Fort Lauderdale

Philadelphia International Airport has four remaining flights scheduled to Fort Lauderdale Friday, and so far none is canceled or delayed, said airport spokeswoman Mary Flannery.

An American Airlines flight is scheduled to depart PHL at 3:45 p.m. for Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport, a JetBlue Airways flight is scheduled to leave at 4:53 p.m., a Spirit Airlines flight at 5:51 p.m., and an American flight at 6 p.m.

The FAA, on its website, said a "ground stop" was in effect until 3 p.m. at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport.

"As of 2:15 p.m., airborne flights that are within about 50 miles of FLL will be landing at the airport," the FAA said in a statement. "Other airborne flights that are headed to FLL will be delayed, or diverted to other airports. Flights destined for FLL that haven't departed will be held on the ground at the origination airport. Travelers headed to FLL should check with their air carriers," the agency said.
