'Couch commerce' and Cyber Monday - International Business Times

By all accounts, Cyber Monday was a huge success for online retailers as Americans spent about $1.5 billion, up from last year's $1.3 billion.

International Business Times dug a bit deeper into the numbers and found something interesting, although not necessarily surprising: Mobile devices played a growing role in Cyber Monday's strong results.

In the article, IBM said "couch commerce" accounted for 13% of sales. While that's still far outpaced by people shopping by laptop or desktop, it represented a 96% increase from last year, IBT says.
