The Center for Autism, which says it is the nation's first nonprofit autism evaluation and treatment center in Philadelphia, has promoted Hale T. Peffall Jr. to chief development officer. He had been director of development since 2006 and vice president for institutional advancement for Gwynedd-Mercy College before that position.

He had been director of development since 2006 and vice president for institutional advancement for Gwynedd-Mercy College before that position.

Rita Ferrandino has been named CEO for the Education Design Studio Inc., a unique seed fund/incubator that helps education entrepreneurs jump-start new ventures. It was created in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. She had been founding partner at Arc Capital Development, a global private investment and advisory firm and a nationally recognized STEM education expert and authority on education policy and politics.

NHS,

a Lafayette Hill nonprofit provider of community-based human and special-education services, has hired Kate Williams as assistant general counsel. She had been a senior associate at Cheshire Law Group in Philadelphia.

Annamarie Saracino

has been promoted to assistant director of communications at Salus University, Elkins Park. She had been marketing and outreach coordinator for clinical operations.

Jim Dever has been named market president for Philadelphia of Bank of America. He has also been named global commercial banking market executive for Pennsylvania, South Jersey, and Delaware.

Matthew Hoffman has been appointed the new Marie E. Pinizzotto, M.D., Endowed chair of obstetrics and gynecology at Christiana Care Health System. He joined Christiana Care in 1995 and has served as vice chair of the department of obstetrics and gynecology and the division of education and research since 2011. He also served as director of outpatient services for women's health and associate residency program director.

The Philadelphia-based National Lacrosse League, the largest men's professional indoor lacrosse league in North America, has appointed Dave Rowan to serve as its chief operating officer. He had been executive vice president and chief revenue officer of the Philadelphia Union. Ashley Dabb, former vice president of marketing and communications for the Union, has been hired as chief marketing officer. Additionally, Kevin Morgan has been named chief revenue officer. He had been a partner with CSL Marketing Group, which sold sponsorships for stadiums and arenas across North America. He also spent nine years in corporate partnership sales for the NHL's Washington Capitals.

Aqua America Inc., the Bryn Mawr-based water utility, has promoted Stan Szczygiel to vice president, finance and treasurer, from vice president, finance. Also, Hillary Sencer has been hired as national safety manager. Sencer spent the last four years as an environmental health and safety manager at Terumo Medical Corp., a manufacturer of medical products, where she oversaw companywide safety management strategies and regulations.

Philadelphia City Rowing, which was established in 2010 to empower Philadelphia public school students through the sport of rowing, has hired Emily Catlett as manager of rowing and academics. She had been a rowing coach at several universities before retiring in 2007 when she became a high school, middle school, and community college counselor.

NRG Energy Inc., Princeton, an integrated power company, has named Bruno Sarda as vice president, sustainability. He had been director of sustainability and social responsibility at Dell Inc.

Jonathan Parry has joined PEI-Genesis as managing director in Europe. The Philadelphia-based company provides precision connectors and cable assemblies that support the military, industrial, medical, aerospace, transportation, and energy sectors worldwide. He had been managing director for the European organization of Dialight plc.

VOX Telehealth, a Princeton provider of procedure-specific, patient engagement programs, has named Kristi Crowe as senior vice president of ortho solutions. She had been an orthopedic service line consultant collaborating with physician groups and hospital organizations to develop and implement orthopedics, spine, and rehabilitation strategic plans. Earlier in her career, she worked as a physical therapist, serving in clinical and management positions.

Jim Gorman has been hired as director of circulation sales for Philadelphia Media Network (PMN), publisher of the Inquirer, Daily News, and Philly.com. He had been regional director of audience development for the McClatchy Co.

Marie Welsh has been hired as nurse-practitioner at Samaritan Palliative Medical Partners, Marlton. She served as ICU nurse and lead preceptor at Virtua Marlton and an emergency-=room nurse at Virtua Voorhees and Hahnemann University Hospital. - Mike Zebe
