The Visit Philadelphia tourism agency's new smart-phone app for inserting tiny images of local icons into mobile messages has some in the city asking: "Yo! Is this jawn safe?"

Fears surrounding Philadelphia Keyboard focused on privacy concerns, with users having to activate an "Allow Full Access" option during installation.

But Visit Philadelphia media specialist Chelsea Calhoun said not to worry: The app's developer does not see or store private information. All such third-party keyboards require "full access" to function, said Calhoun, adding that it enables the app to be updated with new images.
