Frontier to start flights to San Antonio, Columbus

Frontier Airlines announced Tuesday it will begin nonstop flights from Philadelphia to San Antonio, Tex., starting May 13, and to Columbus, Ohio, beginning June 2.

Frontier Airlines announced Tuesday it will begin nonstop flights from Philadelphia to San Antonio, Tex., starting May 13, and to Columbus, Ohio, beginning June 2.

One-way fares were advertised as low as $99 to San Antonio, and as low as $59 to Columbus, on the airline's website, flyfrontier.com.

Last week, Frontier added flights to 10 new cities from Philadelphia to begin this spring, among 42 new routes announced nationwide.

The flights from Philadelphia International Airport to San Antonio will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The Columbus flights will operate Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Frontier announced previously it will fly to New Orleans, Raleigh-Durham, N.C., and Indianapolis beginning April 14. Nonstop flights to Nashville, Cleveland, and St Augustine, Fla., will start April 15. Frontier will begin flying to Cincinnati on May 13, to Austin, Tex., on May 15, and to Kansas City, Mo., and Milwaukee on June 2.

Frontier announced in October that it will begin a nonstop daily flight between Philadelphia and Denver, starting March 17.
