Philadelphia real estate developer Ron Caplan donated $2.5 million to Thomas Jefferson University to endow the directorship of the Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine, which focuses on individualized plans of care.

Daniel Monti, a Jefferson senior vice president and director of the Myrna Brind Center, will be the first holder of the endowed position, Jefferson said.

Caplan's donation will be matched by a fund established when Sidney Kimmel donated $110 million to Jefferson last year.
