Lisa Leonard will assume the office of president of the Rotary Club of Philadelphia on July 1. She is the owner and operator of VoiceWorks.

The Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation has appointed Benito Cachinero-Sánchez to its board of directors. Cachinero-Sánchez is senior vice president of human resources at DuPont.

DrugDev, a King of Prussia and London company that provides cloud-based technology to help sponsors, contract research organizations, and investigators do more clinical trials together, has named Jeffrey Kasher chairman of its advisory board. Kasher is president of Patients Can't Wait, a member of the TransCelerate Biopharma Operations Committee, and a founding member of the Avoca Quality Consortium.

Susan E. Wiegers, senior associate dean of faculty affairs and professor of medicine at Temple University School of Medicine, has taken the helm as president of the 16,000-member American Society of Echocardiography for a one-year term. Wiegers is also an attending physician in cardiology at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia.

Medgenics Inc., a Philadelphia medical-technology company that develops protein therapeutics medical therapies, has named Barbara Duncan to its board, effective July 22. Duncan serves as chief financial officer and treasurer at Intercept Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Attorney Katherine Missimer has been elected to serve on the La Salle University Alumni Association board of directors. She is an associate at Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel L.L.P., Philadelphia.

Steven Berkowitz has been installed as the 223d president of the Medical Society of New Jersey, founded in 1766. Berkowitz is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and clinical instructor who cofounded and currently practices at Seaview Orthopaedic and Medical Associates.

AAA Mid-Atlantic, Wilmington, has appointed Bernhard M. Koch chairman. Koch is CEO of AAA Mid-Atlantic.
