Sandra Shea, editorial page editor of the Philadelphia Daily News, will take on a part-time role as director of strategic partnerships for Philadelphia Media Network, publisher of The Inquirer, the Daily News, and Philly.com. While continuing her duties as editorial page editor, Shea will spend significant time cultivating strategic alliances. She was instrumental in the creation of the "Next Mayor" project, and has a track record of similar partnerships and collaborations, including "It's Our Money," a three-year foundation-funded project with WHYY on the city budget, and a collaborative series on poverty in the city that included Temple, WHYY, and others.

Brett A. Black has been named chief operating officer of Devault Foods, Malvern. The family-owned and -operated company is a national supplier of meat products, including Steakwich steaks and DiFillippo's meatballs for the food-service and retail marketplaces. Black had been vice president of frozen-food operations for Giorgio Foods.

Venture Insurance Programs, a West Chester program administrator that designs, underwrites, and distributes industry-specific insurance packages, has promoted Chris Anciborenko to chief financial officer. Anciborenko joined Venture in 2002 as director of finance.

Vertex Inc., Berwyn, has promoted Lisa Butler to chief financial officer. Butler joined the tax-software company as director of accounting and compliance in 2003.

Chris Singler has been named director of the upper school at Friends Select School, starting in September. Singler previously was English department chair at Germantown Friends School.

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society has named Margaret McCarvill, a PHS board member and board president of the Neighborhood Gardens Trust, as interim executive director. Drew Becher, president of the nonprofit organization since 2010, resigned, effective June 1, to relocate to San Francisco, where his partner, Eric Lochner, has accepted the position of president and CEO of Achievers.

Triumph Group Inc., Berwyn, a supplier of aerospace components, has appointed Richard C. Ill president and CEO. Ill, founder of the company, also will remain a director. He previously served as CEO from 1993 until July 2012, and as president from 1993 until 2009. With the transition, board director Ralph E. Eberhart, a retired Air Force general, was named nonexecutive chairman. Triumph's board has formed a search committee comprised of independent directors and led by Richard C. Gozon, lead independent director, to identify a permanent CEO.

TD Bank has promoted Greg L. Stewart to vice president, sales officer in treasury management services, based in Bethlehem, Pa. He served as a store manager at various locations.

Deborah J. Tyksinski has been named founding dean of Villanova University's College of Professional Studies, effective June 1. CPS, the first new college at the university in 50 years, was created in May 2014 to better serve adult learners. Tyksinski had been administrative director of the Northeast Parallel Architectures Center at Syracuse University.

John DiSessa has joined the direct response advertising agency DMW Direct, Chesterbrook, as manager of database systems and development within its analytics & insight team. He had been an associate at TPG TeleManagement, where he was responsible for web development.

Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell and Pottstown, has named Arline Stephan as vice president of development and external relations. In that capacity, she oversees the College's Foundation, as well as the areas of alumni relations, marketing and communications, public grants, lively arts and fine arts galleries. She came to MCCC in 2012 as the executive director of the College's Foundation.

Atlanta-based transportation company CSX Corp. has named Rodney J. Oglesby resident vice president of state government affairs for Philadelphia, New Jersey, and New York City. Oglesby was the executive director of government relations for the School District of Philadelphia and chief counsel to State Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams.

BTC, a regional and national marketing communications firm in Wayne, has hired Chris Murray as executive vice president. He had been vice president, communications and external affairs, at United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.

Archer & Greiner has hired M. Brian Hall as an associate in its litigation department, construction/real estate litigation groups, and Amy M. Kearney as an associate in its real estate group. Both will be based in the firm's Haddonfield office. Hall was a member of the Army for five years as a Korean linguist, intelligence analyst. and non-commissioned officer before attending Rutgers School of Law, Camden. Kearney was an associate at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney and Morgan Lewis & Bockius.

Halfpenny Technologies Inc., a Blue Bell firm that provides health plans, clinical labs, hospitals, ACOs, and EHR vendors with a cloud-based, vendor-neutral clinical data exchange platform, has hired Lesley A. Brown as senior vice president of product management. Brown, who is coauthor of 10 U.S. patents and been published in 16 peer-reviewed scientific and clinical journals, had been senior vice president of care product for Trizetto Corp. in Boston.

Nicholas G. Uszaki has been named personal lines producer for National Penn Insurance, Allentown. He had been a sales producer for Beneficial Bank.

Comcast Corp., Philadelphia, has promoted Catherine Gray to vice president of the assurance and advisory team, from senior engagement executive of the team. Brian Rankin has been promoted to vice president and senior deputy general counsel, from senior deputy general counsel, vice president, chief regulatory counsel - cable.

Tompkins Financial Advisors, Wyomissing, Pa., has hired Adam Truitt as a wealth adviser. He had been a trust officer with First National Bank of Mifflintown. - Mike Zebe
