Drexel University, Philadelphia, has appointed Shintaro Kaido director of start-up services for Drexel Ventures, where he will lead the implementation of venture growth services for Drexel entrepreneurs. In this new position within the university accelerator, Shintaro will be responsible for providing venture development and advisory services. Shintaro launched start-up accelerators in Tulsa and Oklahoma City for i2E, a not-for-profit venture development organization with more than $45 million in assets under management.

The Atlantic Group, a provider of accounting, finance, tax, executive-search, and consulting services, has opened an office in Center City that will be led by managing directors Steve Mickus, Brandon Saylor, and Shilpa Sood. The boutique search firm specializes in the recruitment of accounting and finance professionals. All three had the same roles at Magellan Search & Staffing in Philadelphia.

Diversified Search, Philadelphia, has hired Eugene Evans Head Jr. as managing director specializing in higher education, health care, and general corporate. Head was a senior partner and managing director of the higher-education practice at Wheless Partners Executive Search, Birmingham, Ala.

Elizabeth Kulkarni has been hired as director of business development at the Philadelphia design and architectural firm EwingCole. She had been director of marketing and business development at Andropogon Associates, Ltd.

Beasley Broadcast Group Inc., Naples, Fla., has appointed Matt Smith vice president and market manager, overseeing WJBR-FM in Wilmington and three radio stations in the Philadelphia market: WWDB-AM, WTMR-AM, and WTEL-AM (formerly WIP-AM). He had been interim market manager of Beasley's WXTU-FM and WRDW-FM in Philadelphia and director of sales for WXTU and WRDW.

Citizens Commercial Banking, a division of Citizens Financial Group, has named Daniel K. Fitzpatrick head of the bank's national mid-corporate and industry verticals business. He will continue to serve as president of Citizens Bank in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. He also serves on Citizens Financial Group's executive leadership group, the company's senior leadership team.

Lincoln Financial Distributors, the wholesale distribution subsidiary of Lincoln Financial Group, Philadelphia, has hired Tim Seifert as vice president, national sales manager, of its intermediary retirement plan services business. He had been managing director and managed distribution of the 401(k), annuities, and 529 business at Planco Financial Services Group, a subsidiary of the Hartford.

Blank Rome L.L.P. has hired Nikhil A. Heble as of counsel in its intellectual-property and technology group in the firm's Philadelphia office. Heble is a registered patent attorney who served as senior patent counsel for Colgate-Palmolive.

Trinseo, a Berwyn global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex, and rubber, has named Angelo N. Chaclas senior vice president and chief legal officer, effective Jan. 1. Chaclas currently serves as associate general counsel and chief intellectual-property counsel.

The Philadelphia law firm Montgomery McCracken has hired David F. Herman as an associate in its litigation department. Herman completed an internship with Petrese B. Tucker, chief judge, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

CMF Associates, a Philadelphia provider of financial, operational, and human capital to private equity, middle-market, and small-cap public companies, says the following professionals have joined the firm: Jon Woodall, formerly a consultant for the firm, is a director; Kimberly Kerr, formerly a production coordinator for HMP Communications, is a marketing associate; Kate Collins is a deal-origination associate; and Tia May, formerly an executive assistant at Accenture, is office coordinator.

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia has named John M. Flynn, a prominent specialist in pediatric orthopedic surgery, its new chief of the division of orthopedic surgery. He has served the health system as associate chief of orthopedic surgery since 2005.

Tompkins VIST Bank, Wyomissing, has hired Carmen Gambone as vice president, commercial banking manager, with an emphasis on commercial real estate lending. He was branch manager of the bank's Blue Bell office. Jeremy J. Anderson has been named branch manager at the Oaks branch office. He joined the bank in 2011 as vice president.

Steven H. Gartner has been hired as executive vice president for retail services in the Philadelphia area of CBRE Inc. He had been president and principal at Metro Commercial Real Estate, Philadelphia.

Thomas J. Jennings has been named a partner in the business and municipal finance, environmental, and public-sector departments at the Morrisville law firm Curtin & Heefner. He had been a partner at Hill Wallack.

The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board, King of Prussia, has hired Megan Tomlinson as director of event services and membership. For the last three years, she was a sales manager at the Convention Center, most recently responsible for the sports, pharmaceutical, and medical markets, as well as the association market in the Midwest.

TD Bank has hired Virginia C. Fleishman as store manager of a branch in Westmont. She was a branch manager at Citizens Bank in Philadelphia.

Domus Inc., a Philadelphia marketing communications agency, has hired Renee Stanzione as assistant account manager, public relations. Stanzione had been an associate public-relations strategist and account coordinator at Freeman Public Relations in Totowa, N.J.

Paige Salvador has been promoted to director of development from development associate at the Alice Paul Institute. The Mount Laurel nonprofit is dedicated to teaching girls about leadership and equality, and to educating the public about New Jersey's most famous suffragist, Alice Stokes Paul.

Liberty SBF, a full-service commercial real estate finance company in Philadelphia, has hired Melissa Gingrich as chief operating officer. She will oversee the day-to-day business of the company's operations across the country, including coordinating the finance and marketing departments. Gingrich was vice president of finance for Guggenheim Retail Real Estate Partners.

BioClinica, a Newtown provider of specialty outsourced clinical trial services, has named John Hubbard chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors. Hubbard, who served as senior vice president and worldwide head of development operations at Pfizer Inc., will assume the posts effective Jan. 5.
